My family bought a historical old home in Zephyrhills between the old Methodist church and what was back in 1967 the junior and senior high schools, both in one old brick building. We lived in that house on Tenth Street for almost fifty years. I grew up there. The first few years there was a creaky old screen back door, and the spring squealed and loudly slammed when used, much to my mom's annoyance. After a few years she finally nagged my dad into replacing

it with a quieter solid door.
It was only one week later that while we were watching TV around 9:00 pm, we all four of us heard the unmistakable

squeal and slam of that screen door. At first no one thought much of it since it was such a familiar noise. Footsteps could be heard crossing the wooden porch kitchen and dining room floors. My mom, my sister, and I were becoming quite scared as the footsteps got closer to the room we were in, especially when my usually lazy and calm dog began barking hysterically with hackles raised at nothing we could see.
My dad quickly turned off the TV, and
