When I was 12 years old we live across the street from the Methodist church in Powersville Georgia. One late summer evening while sitting on the front porch swing lights appeared in the steeple of the church! I ran to get my dad who saw the lights also but pass it off as not to scare me but he and our next door neighbor went to investigate the lights which were moving back and forth but as they reach the front steps of the church the lights vanish. We look the next day inside the church and realizes there was no way anybody could get up into the top of the steeple! Years later we found out a worker fell to his death from there! True.

There's a tiny town between Byron and fort Valley called Powersville Georgia there on a dark and quiet night if you dare go down the train tracks west to the swamp of Mule Creek you will hear a man leading mules down in the swamp until the mules start braying loudly and the man screaming trying to get out of the quicksand! True. Submitted by J
Comment by Caressa: That's crazy because my friend and I one day decided to take a walk down the tracks. Out of nowhere a large black dog appeared and seemed to lead us down the tracks. He would wait for us if we stopped somewhere. We went just past the swamp and decided to turn around because we just felt uneasy. The dog seemed sweet, but it was just strange. I got a strange vibe from it all.
