We would always get orbs in our pictures in Chatsworth. Submitted by anonymous
Category: orbs
My mom and dad lived near Oakman, GA right near Ranger, GA. My mom and dad were out partying, and they came back, and I was in the kitchen, and my dad came in there with blood on his hands, and said ''son someone is here,'' so I ran to my mom's room. My mom was saying ''son, I hear voices''. Ever since then we have had broken windows and busted car windows. Please be safe, yall. Submitted by Terry

I came across this page while searching to see if anyone had any experiences near the old Treadwell Cemetery on Treadwell Road, which is between the Chief Vann House and what used to be Day Spring Church. I haven't been there in decades, so I don't know what the place has grown to look like.

When I was a kid my mom rented one of the little houses at that corner, and I used to lie in my bed at night and watch strange lights moving in the cemetery. There are several interesting things about this cemetery. First there were a few tall obelisk type grave monuments belonging to the Treadwells. At some point an image appeared on his stone that everyone from the area who knew Treadwell identified as a likeness of his face. Some said it was because he was such a good man. Others said it was because he was such an evil man. It's unclear. We do believe he was a slave owner.
There is the site of an old black church just beyond this cemetery. The locals were so disturbed with the image of Treadwell; they removed the monument and replaced it with a new one. The face returned on the new stone. My grandmother who was born in 1918 and lived in the river bend in Dalton told me that when she was a little girl her father took the family up to Spring Place by horse and buggy to see this face on the tombstone. She stated it looked just like the face of a man, but she never knew the old man Treadwell and couldn't say if it looked like him or not. This was a long trip by horse and buggy and lent to just how much of a stir it caused in the area.
Story goes the stone was replaced multiple times with the face returning each time until finally someone stole the stone and rumored they threw the stone in one of the nearby rivers. The stone was never replaced after that.
