There is an old two-story house that has been there since before the Civil War. It served many purposes according to the people who owned it several years ago. The house was supposed to be a school, a courthouse, a boarding house, and a family home. The stories the family told seemed fantastic. When I was a kid we visited the family and I started having my own experiences.
One Friday night we were all sitting on the porch, and the kids decided to

play tag in the dark. We ran around the yard for an hour or so. The other kids were tagged and made it back to the porch. I was chasing a person around

the yard and a tree, and that was when I got yelled at by my mom. They saw me chasing a shadow but never able to catch it. Then my mom told me the other kids were on the porch and asked who I was chasing. I stopped and ran to the porch. They all told the story of me chasing a shadow around the yard.
