Several years ago while I was in high school in the late 1990s some friends and myself were traveling onto Fort Benning via south Lumpkin Road before the gates were built. In the area that now houses the National Infantry Museum and Hampton Inn Columbus-south we were traveling on the dark swampy road.
As we got near the entrance to Oxbow Meadows Golf Course, we noticed a person riding a bicycle towards our vehicle. As we passed the person, we noticed the individual was wearing army BDU's and had a glowing face of a clown. We slammed on brakes and turned around only to notice the person had vanished. We walked back looking to see if the person had gone off the road or something and could not find nothing. We were incredibly freaked out and got in the car and drove straight onto base and took a different access point when leaving.

I told the story to a friend about 8 or 9 years later, and oddly he reported seeing the same thing in the same area in 2005. I'm certain this stretch of road was or is haunted by a ghost that appears with the face of a clown. It's even more odd that a circus train crashed near Columbus and killed several clowns in 1915. The charred bodies are buried in a cemetery about 4 miles from this location and in the direction the figure was traveling.

When I was 8 years old I lived in Willow Creek Apartments on Buena Vista Drive Apartment number 150. Well my mother passed on Jan 27. The day after funeral around 3 am I saw her pass near my room. The distinct smell of white diamonds perfume was there when she looked at me and passed by the room to my dad's room. When I went to look out the hallway it was completely empty.
