Comment by Mr. J: I currently live exactly where you've described. Specifically the only structure off that road that could be considered a large house. I have lived here for over 2 years as of June 2015. I've yet to have experienced anything quite like you've described.
That being said there's been at least one occasion where it sounded like my father (who was in the house at the time 2 rooms over) called for my sister. Which we both heard. Upon asking him what he wanted he exclaimed he didn't call for her.
He was preoccupied watching TV and would be completely out of character to joke in that manner. It was in ''his'' voice and cut through the din being louder than the TV. That was within a year living here.
The information I have concerning the build date is different and I'm unaware of any deaths in the house or on the grounds. In case there's any question about me living in the house- it has a unworking intercom system and warped floor boards on the upper floor.

Comment by Mr. J: Update. Mid July 2015 11-12 am my girlfriend and I were in my room listening to music and talking when we heard someone walk 2/3rds length of the first/top floor. Walk past the door to my room towards the adjacent bedrooms several feet down the hall and disappear.
There were no sounds of doors anywhere being open. They were solid rhythmic footfalls enough so that at first we thought automatically that it was my father returning from out of town. She remarked that she hadn't seen/heard anyone come up the drive.
I went to check it out. An armed thorough search revealed that we were the only ones here. I reached my father to find he was still out of town. I'm not saying I know what it is but I'll tell you that unless someone walked up all the way through a house in the woods having no idea what could happen to them and backed out silently that it wasn't a person.-Mr. J.

Comment by Mr. J: Daniel, I appreciate the offer. As it currently stands most incidents occur very sporadically and far apart. In so much as it's difficult to discern a definitive pattern in which they will happen. At any point if it were to ramp up to a consistent basis and in need of outside assistance I'll let you know.

I lived at a house on Old Etowah River Rd... I had a soldier visit me at night every night. His bride died in childbirth in the room with the dresser drawers that opened. I just feel so bad for him. I left him.
