Many many years ago when I was just a kid about 12 or 13 I over heard a freaky ghost story. Back then my grand parents would come over on a Saturday night once a month for dinner and visiting. We lived in the country and when folks dropped in for a visit it was a big event for us.
All of us kids were sent to the backyard to play baseball or jump rope where the adults could talk undisturbed. I went in the kitchen to get a drink of water and over heard the adults talking about a ghosts that could be seen in the woods ever so often.

It was the spirits of a man and a teenage boy who were murdered in their sleep. They were beat over and over in their heads with a ball peen hammer while they slept. Nobody even discovered the bodies for a least two months after they were murdered.

The murderer was never caught because nobody knew who did it. The two ghostly figures walk around with their faces covered in blood and their hair is all tangled up and soaked in blood.
