I would walk through the golf course every morning as I had no car, and it was the fastest route to work. One morning I had to come to work even earlier to get things ready for a company urinalysis. As I was walking through the golf course as usual, I saw what can only be described as a shadow figure roughly fifty meters away from me. It didn't move, so I kept walking but looked around to see who or what could have been making the shadow. There was nothing.
Curiosity turned to fear, so I stopped and looked directly at it for a few seconds. It then lunged at me at incredible speed. I turned around and ran for a minute occasionally looking over my shoulder. It was gone. I stopped and looked harder, still nothing. I started back to the office using the same path and looked at the spot where I originally saw the shadow figure, but this time nothing was there. I ran to work that morning.

This is one of the most haunted installations I've been to. There was a soldier who haunted me in my room. He apparently had killed himself in the closet with an asphyxiation bag. After I was married my home on base would have anomalies. Someone would be walking up the stairs. Things moved out of place or fall off the counter.
At my friends place a picture flew off the wall. There were shadow figures, and a light bulb unscrewed itself and fell to the floor after the light was on and without ruckus through the home. Now as we speak in another friend's home on post the door stopper is a spring, and something pulled it to make it shake. There has been shadow figures and even a recording of it saying her daughter's name. All of Fort Stewart in some shape or form has spirits, and no one can give a straight answer as to why.
