I was sleeping when I heard tapping on my window. It was not windy that night, and I have no bush to reach my window. The night after that I closed the blinds on my window completely only to find in the morning they were halfway open!.

I lived at our family's homestead in Hahira for about 3 years. Often at night I'd hear footsteps and a hand touching my shoulder as I slept. I told my dad and granddad about it and they both told me it was probably my grandmother's spirit or a family members spirit watching over me.

Once I figured that out I would sit up during the occurrences and tell them thank you for watching over me. I would then feel calm and go to sleep.
