I was mowing the right of way on Reynolds Bridge Road in Kingston right before the Rock Church on the hill coming from HWY 411. All of a sudden my music on my ear buds stopped playing, so I stopped and tried to fix it, but when I reached for my phone someone hollered, ''hey!'' and it scared the hell out of me because the tractor is loud, and they spoke as they were next to me.
I looked into the woods towards the church, and a Civil War soldier

was standing in the woods with a rifle, and I hollered back, ''What?'' because I thought it was actually someone alive, but as quickly as I hollered,

I blinked, and he was gone, so I grabbed another gear and got out of there. Now I know to watch out when I'm mowing in the Kingston area for strange things from the past.

I used to live in a house in Kingston at mile marker 20. In my daughter's room she would tell me that there is a little boy about 12 that would come into her room at night. He would stand at the foot of her bed. He has a big red kickball and wears a baseball cap. My son and a friend both slept in her room on different nights and saw nothing. One morning I went to wake her up for school, and as I opened the door I saw him. It scared me so bad that I screamed her name. He turned around, looked at me, and disappeared. If I was up late at night. I could see a figure walk from the kitchen into the hallway towards the bathroom. I was glad to move from there.
