It was 1975. I was six years old. We moved into a house on Lions Club Drive. I remember it was a two-story on the corner. The fireman that was moving out of the upstairs warned mom of knocks at the door with no one there. After they moved out there were many times we heard walking up there. They sounded like footsteps. washing her hair in the kitchen sink. Soon after I watched my brother who was ten years old get slapped in the face with nothing there.

time I remembered the house was hostile and always dark, not understanding at 6 years old what it was. As I got older (I am now 47) this still baffles me. Even my other brother who was sixteen at the time would say he would wake up to sounds of knocking and footsteps, and no one was there. After about one year of living there he became angrier at the house and the noises. He would shout ''I hate this house,'' and at that time a ceiling tile fell directly
