While visiting Madison's Cemetery I got out of the car right over the railroad tracks to the right. There were a number of confederate grave stones there. I mentioned to my husband (he was still in the car) that some were unknown. As I said that, a log about eight inches in diameter was thrown at me. It came sideways at an angle and not dropped from above from a tree (which would have only been small branches if they fell from where I was standing. )

Plus the log was gray and not fresh from a tree either. It stopped right at the same grave I was pointing to.
What was really frightening was that

it hit the ground with so much velocity that the car shook, and it felt like a ton of weight hit the ground. My husband thought that I fell against the car because it moved so much. I was about 3 feet away from the car. I immediately jumped in the car because I realized that if that could hit the ground so violently it could have hit me.
