It's gone now, the house on Smokey Road. I can imagine why. Never in my life have I experienced anything like the events in that house and property. To this day, 30 years later, I do not drive past it. I am not sure I should write about it. Suffice to say, someone at church was talking about a weird house they heard about near Newnan. Overhearing the conversation my son butted in and said ''you must be talking about the house on Smokey Road. '' The woman

looked startled and said ''well, yes I was. '' My son remarked we lived there for about a year and a half before we got the hell out.

ever walked into that house was not impacted; sooner or later by experiences in the house or on the property or when they went home. My kids saw things and experienced things, so did their friends. I never could sleep in the big downstairs bedroom in the 120-year-old house. It was cold. Even with no air conditioning the room always felt cold. I started sleeping in what we used as the family room between the living room and the big foyer and hallway that
