Years ago in 1986 I was at the Georgia Baptist Children's Home also known as GBCH where I had lived for about for five years. One cold winter night a cottage brother and I were in the upstairs hall of Dodson. It was after dinner and was already dark. It was chore time. We were sweeping and mopping the hall when the broom and dust pan leaning by a open door at the end picked up off the floor and flipped over. Then it hit the floor. No wind was blowing.

The door slammed closed, and we heard a weird scream like a girl, but no girls were home at the time. We believe it was a lost spirit from long ago that

was what an old janitor told us. It was an orphanage and several children died there.

As a small child, I remember looking up and seeing some type of a head and shoulders figure in the right top corner of my room at the end of my bed. I always thought it could have been my baby sister who died at a very young age watching me. Also one night I heard someone knock at our front door. I went to the door, and it was a black man dressed in black. Back then we slept with our doors open only screen door closed. As I got right to the door, the man was gone. I went to my room to go back to bed looked, and the man was at my window, but my window was very high up from the ground.
