I experienced a ghost sighting when I felt a waft of cold air and then a gasp as I walked down a stairwell. Submitted by El

Helping my daughter with a school project, I drove my daughter to several home fronts to take pictures of select architectural styles. One of the home fronts was the Jolly Home in Kingston. Thinking it was unoccupied, we got a good picture standing in the front yard. We were distracted, however, by an argument between two men that was loud, vile, and threatening. Looking around to see where this loud talking was coming from, we noticed the area was calm without driving cars or walking people, and the Jolly house appeared closed up with windows closed and no visible human activity. Knowing this house had been occupied by Civil War soldiers who had left blood stains and names on the walls, we calmly left the area reassured that at least two of the soldiers decided to continue a verbal confrontation and not leave the Jolly home place.

More about the house at the top of Turnbull hill in old East Rome. The staircase was adjacent to the entrance hall. Seven steps up, and it was the landing, seven more steps to the upstairs hall. On walking down the stair case, it was always the fifth step down that you lost your balance. It was as if some force was pushing you down the steps.
