Before I sign out I want to relate that a sweet perfume-like odor ran me out of the downstairs computer room. I knew immediately it was the perfume of an old woman, and I quickly left the room. I never told anyone outside my family about the paranormal activity with the exception of the wife of the builder who had once lived there. I wanted to be able to sell this house, and I didn't want the paranormal experiences to hurt the sale of the house.

We moved away two and a half years ago and sold it to a young family of four.

I was born and raised in Rome, and just about every home I have lived in I have had experiences in. I am more open to things than most people are, so I feel that spirits are drawn to it. I currently live in an old mill house on Riverside. It's a beautiful brick house with hardwood floors and a fenced in yard. When my boyfriend and I found this place we fell in love instantly. It was everything we were looking for and plenty of space for us and the kids.
Now my boyfriend would probably tell you that I am just crazy or imagining things, but he works nights and is never here when things happen. I noticed my kids would gravitate towards a corner in their room. They would wake up in the middle of the night staring at the corner. A week went by, and I finally turned the toy off. I couldn't stand hearing it at night. Things seemed to settle down for a minute because weeks went by with no incident.
Around Christmas I started noticing objects were being moved. Nothing big just little things. My tape for wrapping paper disappeared while I was wrapping gifts. I spent fifteen minutes searching all over the floor. When I finally gave up I found it sitting on my bookshelf. I started telling my boyfriend about all I had been experiencing, and he just dismissed me. In my mind I felt the energy was child like. Never did I feel scared or uneasy in the beginning. Everything seemed playful, if anything.
