I remember the first time I felt absolutely terrified in my house. It was late one night, and I was lying on the couch watching TV. One of my feet was sticking out from under my blanket. I was starting to drift off when I felt something tap my foot three times. My first thought was one of my kids was up and wanting my attention, so I sat up and looked towards the end of my couch. When I saw nothing there my heart started beating out of my chest.
