she told me why she did not go into the little room that day she was exploring our new house. She said she did not go in there because it just felt occupied,

like it was someone's room. You know that sense of 'someone else' you get by going into someone else's room for the first time. And I agreed with her; it did feel like that. The air in the little room felt heavy and thick. We ended up not staying in the house for long. He started drinking heavily while he was in that house, and I wonder if it had anything to do with that presence.
