I grew up in Screven. I went to the ghost light several times, but I only saw it once. It appeared to float over the tracks in a swinging motion, and it got closer and closer to us. Of course, we left before it got too close. I was a chicken.

Comment by Rebecca: I also grew up in Screven as my mama's family are all born and raised there. My aunt uncle and two cousins lived off of Bennett Road off end of trail. We've seen the ghost light many times and is definitely creepy!.

I have seen the Screven ghost light. Anyone from around this area knows all about it. I didn't believe it but have seen it for myself. Whatever it is it has been around for quite a while.

One day me and my friends were going to go down a trail and the other to backed out and pedaled away but me and my cousin went down it. It was woods with a creek then there was a open field with a broken statue and a angle statue smiling so we got close and the angels smile went to a frown we pedeled as fast as we could.
