In 2003 my family and I moved into the at the time blue and white apartments on Grady Street behind the movie theatre. We were told it was once a boarding house for the depot as well as the first McDuffie county jail. At the time I was five. I'd started getting visits from a solid black figure that would tell me to go down to the railroad tracks to play. He smelled like sulphur. I told my brothers and grandmother about it, and my grandmother told my mom.

mom nailed all the windows shut. She brought a priest to bless the apartment. She also got holy water as well as sage, but nothing worked. She tried everything
|
possible. On several occasions we'd hear something big with large nails crawling and scratching across the attic floor.
One Easter we all sat in the living room watching Passion of the Christ, and right when the devil started to scream a picture my mom had hanging up on a wall lifted up off the hail and flew off the wall nearly hitting my brother in the head. We all witnessed it. We then ended up moving down the road into the brown house at the
