I was born and raised in Waynesboro, GA. My grandparents always told us ghost stories when we were small and I was always scared to sleep by myself. I had been playing with flowers I found under my mother house. Little did I know that they was flowers that used to be on a grave. My mother soon stopped me and threw them away.

off the light. I closed my eyes not quite 30 seconds a dark figure appeared on my floor crawling and calling my name. It had big red eyes, and was dark

black. I tried to scream, but I couldn't. The closer it got to me the more I got scared. Finally I screamed real loud. My mother came running. I told her what happened. She said I had played with some dead flowers that were removed from an old grave.

I tried to put this spooky revealing behind, but I think about it from time to time. I never would've thought that Burke County High was haunted until I observed it myself. One afternoon I and my friend stayed after school for a project. My mom was getting off late, so we were at the school until almost 8:30. Everyone was gone including the officers and janitors. One janitor offered us a ride to a place nearby instead of waiting, but I insisted on staying at the school. See one thing about that school it was a lockdown at a certain time I guess. Once you go outside, you cannot go back in unless someone lets you in from the inside.
