One of my aunts remembered the haunted house west of Kmart as having an apple tree in the front yard. The old lady who had died there would pick the leaves off the apple tree and carry them one by one to an upstairs bedroom.
When she died the room was full of dried apple leaves. Does anyone in Corinth have history of this house or this lady besides me.

The old house just west of where Kmart is now was known by Corinth folks to be haunted by an old woman who was the last of her family to live there. My mother remembered footsteps on the stairs during a storm and rattling of doorknobs at night.

The story was told that the old lady was afraid of storms and would pace up and down the stairs during bad weather and rattle the doorknobs to the upstairs bedrooms.

Regarding the haunted house in the 40s just west of K mart. The story was often told by my grandmother who also lived in the house about a night when loud noises coming from the kitchen. Sounded as though all the dishes were being thrown against the walls.
