One night in my mom's house which is off of Mt. Pleasant Road. , I was alone and was awoken out of a dead sleep by the sound of the front door knob moving back and forth very fast and loud. I immediately jumped out of bed and ran to the front door to make sure that was the sound I was hearing. Sure enough there was the front door knob rotating back and forth like someone was trying to break in. The thing was, this was Hernando. At the time no one ever had

to worry about a break-in because there was never any crime, at least on our side of town, so we did not worry about locking doors at night. The front

door was completely unlocked. The knob was not locked, and the dead bolt was not locked. I was of course frightened and immediately locked the dead bolt and turned on the porch and living room light to try and deter this person from trying to get in.
What was odd was when I did this the knob never skipped a beat. It kept rotating back and forth. I called the police and went and hid. The police were there in almost seconds it seemed. Because I left
