I am the one who posted the picture of the lady in the white dress at Shaffer house, I also had this picture I took a few weeks before when we took some friends out there. I was standing outside the house and took this picture in a window, the house is empty.
As I was looking back at the pictures, I noticed a church pew or some kind of figure (looks like a church pew to me). To the ones that don't know about the Shaffer house, it's an historical sight from the battle of Port Gibson, an old hospital for the war.

I used to live in Vicksburg years ago. I visited the Shafer house. The house was empty, I went in the attic all through the main area of the house and saw nothing out of the ordinary. But after walking through the breeze way in the rear of the house we entered the back two rooms separate from the main house.
The rooms were cold, made the hairs on my arm stand straight up and we could not light a cigarette lighter in the rooms. But the same lighters would light outside of the rooms. I did this myself so it was no trick.
Upon leaving two of the people swore they saw an apparition in the doorway. But I never saw the apparition, true story.

We were at the Shaffer house in Port Gibson one night. I took a picture of some friends and in the background a woman in a white dress appeared in my picture. It had to be Mrs. Shaffer because there is a billboard by the house and it shows a picture of Mrs. Shaffer in a white dress. .
