I live off of Fletcher near Main Street (don't want to give an actual road for my safety). I'm pretty sure this house isn't too old. It was built in the 1970s, but I think it was moved. You can be home alone, but if you don't have some background noise you can hear footsteps and talking. I'll give you 2 accounts that have scared me to no end. Just a little background on the structure of the house. The house was originally one floor. The upstairs

was built on by previous owners. My room is upstairs with a walk in attic with carpets. No hardwood except for the attics. There are two bedrooms upstairs

and a full bath.
I was downstairs on the couch watching TV (home alone) when I started hearing heavy footsteps upstairs. It sounded like hardwood, so I know it was a ghost. It just kept walking from one room to the other. Then I decided to take out my phone and show my aunt exactly what I was hearing. No kidding as soon as I opened up my phone (Snap Chat) you hear someone say ''hey'' or ''hi''. I ran outside so fast.
