I have lived in the old Carver Smith School for 2 years now. I know some history of it but cannot account for what was previously here. My 2 daughters and I have witnessed some crazy stuff: seeing shadows, watching our cat space out, things getting knocked out of our hands, and hearing footsteps. My oldest hears whispering in her ear at night and lying with her in bed. Friends who come over get attacked or scratched. Light bulbs would be burning out constantly. We have had heaviness in the apartment and feeling sick. I have done a cleanse but realized it wouldn't work. I am so curious to find out more, but no one talks.
The children around here behave bad; I mean bad. A heaviness glooms over this entire town. When we leave town we feel light, happy, and good; as soon as we roll out of Springhill to the traffic light at Bear Creek the feeling hits us. I know about the race riot and ''mink slide. '' The high school feels off, very off. People act strange in this town as well as if affected by something I don't know. I feel there's more to this town than I can find. I have lived in haunted houses my entire life, but I have never encountered such an experience like this. It makes me want to not just move out of these ''active'' apartments, but the whole city.

Comment by Gevaudan: Carver Smith School was a positive place, but when it was converted to a housing project there have been multiple murders and odd deaths that have taken place there.

I was driving to Columbia State Community College one night around 8-8:30 pm and I turned onto Experimental Lane (I think is what it's called) across from the hospital - to try and cut through some traffic.
As soon as I crossed the bridge I caught a glimpse of someone standing at the edge of the front yard of one of the houses to my right. I looked over and there was a woman dressed in a white night gown, her hair was up in a bun like how they styled it in the old days and her hair and gown were just blowing in the wind.
