I was cleaning with my mom, her boyfriend, and the cleaning staff over the summer. I went down in the basement and was helping them with something. When I got lost I saw a beach ball roll out of an office with trophies and other stuff. I knew about a coach killing himself in that office, but I turned around and saw a bathroom door shut and heard a loud scream echo through the whole basement. I ran for the stairs.
When I got there everything went quiet,

way too quiet. I yelled out loud ''mom!'' I heard something, so I repeated ''mom, where are you?'' I heard a little girl say ''mommy'' next to me. I screamed

and started crying. Then I ran to the far end away from the stairs and thankfully found my mom. I won't go down there ever again.
I encountered it again at soccer practice when I was in 8th grade. I got sick and had to wait in the gym, and the lights were off but the ones leading down the stairs to the basement by the bleachers. I heard a laugh, and I thought it couldn't be happening again. It was. I being dumb went to the very end of the steps
