While I and my wife were standing in the dining room of the Hermitage maybe 15 years ago. One of the heavy fireplace irons that hold fireplace wood fell over. The docent jumped and looked very startled as though she had been subject to other happenings there. I can't recall if it was windy that day but wind could not have done that anyhow as they are way too heavy. I commented this house is haunted and if I recollect right she never responded but

continued to look shaken. I am somewhat sensitive to activity and have other personal accounts not pertaining to the Hermitage so maybe possibly that

They say that you're never alone when you are in a place by yourself or with someone else. I have experienced the ghost at Andrew Jackson's home. I didn't see them really but I know they were watching me when I was in the tour group of the house. My granddaddy and I somehow looked up at the window and felt a presence staring right at us. It was an eerie feeling and in my mind I pictured Mrs. Jackson staring at us from the window. Have you ever experience this before?.
