I grew up in a subdivision off Ashville hwy. and my parents had our home built when I was in 5 grade so it had to be the land. I would see lights coming from the ground and shine upon the woods right across our road.
Doors always would open or close in the house. Lights off and on and a black shadow would peep across my shoulder and when I'd go to look at it it would vanish. Mom saw a man dressed in period clothing.
These things and more happened

to me on a weekly basis. Mom sold the place in 2001. I can't help but wonder if we people ever see things.

There is an old farmhouse in Kodak, Tennessee. Many people have lived in it since I moved out. They never stay longer than six months and then sell it again. They say it was used to hide slaves in the civil war days, and two Ku Klux Klan men were hanged in the barn behind the house, supposedly there's a secret room in the house to hide slaves to get them to the railroad. When I lived in the house you could feel a presence there, and yes there was a secret room, but I couldn't access it. The side room was built on a rock floor. My daughter who was seven brought me a jawbone with human teeth still in it and asked what it was. I told her a horse jawbone, so she wouldn't be afraid. When we lived in the house I played my piano a lot. I had the house fixed up like a dollhouse with many antiques in it.
They say the old man and his wife are still seen in the house. The man wears a hat, and his wife is an old lady with hair in a bun with an apron on. To this day, the house is just sold again and has new owners. I suppose out-of-towners bought it. I wonder how long they will live there. .
