This may not sound so weird but who knows what I was doing before that. Any suggestions please post em. Submitted by Dyann

I was at the Fort Loudon dam, fishing late one night. Alone. I was up close to the dam, maybe 20 feet away, I had heard the catfish bit better closer to the dam when the water was not running. I had been there for about 3 hours with no distractions, when all of the sudden around 2:30 am I turned to my left to get a drink from my cooler, when to my shock, I found I was no longer alone. There was literally a man sitting on my cooler. I'm convinced he meant no harm to me. He just sat there, seeming to ignore my every attempt to engage a conversation. He seemed content simply with my company.

A good 45 minutes went by at which point I had given up on trying to get a name or anything, much less talk. When all of the sudden he looked up and said to me ''sure's been a long'en''. Supprised with the break in the silence, I turned to him to reply, and he was simply gone.

It was as he had actually just vanished. I think he was the spirit of one of the many workers who had died building the dam. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Submitted by Joe
Comment by anonymous: No one died building that dam but TVA stole land from farmers to build it. It's probably a farmer.
