There is a house (rental) off Valetta Lane that my wife and kids lived in for about four years that I'm certain is haunted. It has wood floors and a basement.
Sometime after we moved I was by myself in the house using the bathroom. I started hearing the floor creaking as if someone was walking across it. It sounded exactly like someone was walking across it, except there wasn't the sound of the footsteps itself, just the wooden floor creaking. It started in the living room

near the front door, and I heard the floor creaking all the way to the bathroom door and stop. When it stopped I said ''hello'' but no answer or any other

noise. This happened one other time while we lived there.
The basement creeped me out a bit. Every time I would go up the stairs I'd get the feeling someone was glaring at me. One week my sister came over to help me clean up some boxes down there. We were up in the kitchen talking when we heard this loud metal clanking sound from the basement. It was as if a shovel had fallen over on the concrete floor. We went downstairs, but there was nothing out
