I grew up in Hickman County along 100 Hwy, only a couple miles from Primm Springs Road. When I was a small child in the 50s I remember my mother and aunt taking me and my brother to Primm Springs Hotel. There may have been others with us, because I was so small it is kind of vague. I remember it was on Sunday after Church. There were all kinds of people there for lunch, I could hear the people talking and laughing. I could hear dishes and silverware rustling about as they were being served. I remember us bending over at a pool of water and swishing our hands in the water. I was so fascinated and wanted to go up where the people were eating and have a meal with them.

When I was a teenager in the mid 60s I went there in the middle of the night with friends, we called it ghost town, but there was no sign of any paranormal activity. It was so sad seeing all those buildings in ruins with a large flashlight shining on them. I shall never forget the beautiful memory of going there when I was a small child.

Comment by Sheila: I would also like to add there were no insects in sight. The hotel had no glass or screens in the windows. There were no flies around in the air. As I grew older I asked my mom why were there were no window glasses or screens on the windows and why there were no insects flying, as we could smell the aroma of the meal being served.
My mom commented it was a miracle from the mineral springs water.
