were getting ready for school when washing detergent came flying around the corner and landed at their feet. What is messed up about this is you can't even see the washing machine from where they were standing. Submitted by Autumn

Several months ago I was just getting up for the day. I live in Wayne County, Tennessee. I'm 62, and I have lived here for all my life. When I was five years old, my family had lived in Connersville Tennessee and was just moving back to Waynesboro. The house where we had moved to was around five miles down McDonald Holler.

Well, we had just got home from church, and my mom was in the kitchen putting ice in glasses and getting the food on the table. I saw what I thought was my great grandmother Josephine. She came in the back screen door and was just standing behind my mother watching her cook. Now this was 1965, and I really didn't pay attention.

In 2021 I'm setting on the court drinking my coffee and looking at my family tree. I've looked at Josephine profile countless times before. I happened to notice that it says that she died in 1931. Well, I thought it was a wrong date, so I called my mother and said, ''Mama, grandma Josephine didn't dying 1931, did she? Because I plainly saw her when we lived down McDonald Holler. Well, I was expecting my devote Christian mom to say ''No, that's not right.'' Instead she said, ''No, she died when I was 3 years old.''
I was so shocked. I couldn't even speak. Mother said, ''You saw a ghost, Phyllis.'' I have never believed in ghost, kind of like, I'd have to see it to believe it. I sure saw my grandma standing in that kitchen. She'd been dead for 34 years. It took me 55 years to realize I could even see the pattern on her dress.
My mother told me the story when I was about 16 of the ladies making her dress the day she died and the men were building her box. I was only 16 when we talked about it, and I said, ''Yeah, she had real thin hair, didn't she? I saw her one time,'' and my mom said, ''Yeah, that was your grandma.'' She didn't get it either. Now I was sitting thinking about what I had discovered, and I had this horrible thought, ''Oh my God, surely that was not the dress that they made!''.
