My grandparents used to own a dairy farm in Whitwell... There were acres of land and 2 pounds on the property. My grandfather was out on the land checking his cattle when he saw what could only be a family of bigfoots..
They were down drinking from the pond. A large one was standing like he was guarding them.. 2 smaller ones were drinking. They were completely covered in brownish fur and the stench was terrible. After that he never went out on the property

without his gun.
A couple of years later he saw a small one by itself. Just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this in this area.

Just east of town in the western banks of the Sequatchie River is a very active haunting. It is the ghost of a young man who was murdered there about 100 years ago. They weren't able to identify him and there were no nearby reports of any missing people matching his description.
It was assumed he was from somewhere far away and the case was never solved. Since then there have been sightings of him by the river. He walks along the river bank slowly for just a few paces and then he vanishes.
