There may be more than ghostly energy around Brownsville, Indiana ... West of town is an old gravel road that is called River Road. It intersects with Turkey Creek Road then dead ends near the Indiana 44 Bridge.
Many years ago while mushroom hunting in the woods along this road we went inside an old barn on a farm which no longer had a house standing. Inside on the floor of the barn was a pentagram and several skeletal remains of dogs and cats.

Comment by Tim: They're most likely, yeah paranormal stuff going on down on River Road where the house and barn used to stand. I moved here when I was 16, 52 now, our campsite was just across the road from where that barn was standing.
We only camped there one time, that was it. When I heard weird noises, scary singing, dancing, drums. There were no vehicles over there. That energy around us was so strong that me and my friend were talking and could not hear one another, even the crickets stop hollering. We left the camp site, all of our stuff behind and did not return.
