Burket is very haunted. There's quite a few individuals living in my town that have seen strange things at the Burket Educational Centers playground. Teens go out there to hang out late at night and it has been said that a little girl still plays on the equipment and skips around the schoolyard anywhere from midnight to four in the morning.
Residents of a few houses have seen or heard strange things in their homes. My mother used to see an elderly

woman in our home. I used to talk to a little boy as a child not realizing until a few years later that he did not change.
He did not grow and I never
|
saw him leave my house. People thought I was insane or crazy but you gotta see it to believe it. There has also been sightings of an 11 year old boy on the train tracks.
Re-living his death that had happened almost 40 years ago. That is why they never had ''Burket Days'' after that. Well that's all I know. I've lived in Burket for almost 15 years.
