A house on west 12th St. The ghost of an old man and a female and two children are spotted. The old man smells horrible and is nothing to be afraid of but he appears from now and then, shattering glass and knocking over really heavy objects. He also reportedly appears whenever someone attempts to ignore the house by whatever means, but reportedly by listening to music. The female, also known as the wife of the old man-soldier is quite chilling.

The story is he threw her over the grand staircase in the house. Her fingernail scratches are perminately engraved into the railing of the staircase. It's also been reported that the two aforementioned little girls died in the house along with the old man, who was a Union soldier.

These ghosts are harmless to those who live in the house, but it's been reported that people that come to visit overnight have experienced odd pains and noises that prove that to the normal person that these ghosts are not to be trifled with. Submitted by Aubrey
Comment by Tess: How can I get the address for the home in this story? We just bought an old home on W 12th. Would love more info.
Comment by Madison: Is this actually true? We lived in a house on west 12th Street that had a huge spiral staircase with lots of scratches in it. But if you google this story, nothing shows up for anyone passing away like this in Connersville.
