My mother always told us kids of what happened to her at Sleepy Hollow. She and her father were riding in their horse and buggy coming down the hill just a little ways north of the bridge and a huge ball of light came from the bridge and came up the road and wizzied over their buggy and kept going up the road and out of sight.
It frightened them out of their wits. That happened over 100 years ago. My best friend Lesly was shot and killed on the bridge

in 1960. I've often sat on the bridge at night hoping to get to see him but never did get to see him.
