My story isn't as bad as others, but it's still odd to me. I live in a house that's about 200 years old. I have a Roanoke address, but I live nearer to Fort Wayne. It was built on ground that once held a Native American village. I believe it was called Raccoon Village. Anyway I know the floor creaks and such, and I'm used to those noises. Family members died in the house, but they were all good people and died naturally - no murder or suicides. However, I don't like being in my room. At times I just feel like a presence wants me out. Twice I have gone to my mom's room at the end of the hall because of a presence I felt. I looked back at my room and suddenly burst into tears for no reason.
A few nights ago my door was closed. My boyfriend lives with us, and we were getting ready for bed. We both heard a knock and a scratch on my door, but nothing was there. I've also seen a door shut once, and I often see things. Not just shadows out of the corner of my eye but flashes of darkness in the forefront of my vision. They last for less than a second, but they are there. I've also heard voices, but only one was understandable. It said '20' and seemingly came from the wall behind my bed. At that instant the clock said 10:20.

We moved into a house in Sycamore Hills in Southwest Allen county. It was 11/25/13 when something slapped my back. I looked back, and nobody was there. I was extremely petrified. Another day when I woke up I saw a black apparition standing right in front of me. Another day the basket where I put my dirty clothes in just mysteriously was lifted up. Something knocked on my bedroom door once, and I looked to see who it was, and nobody was there. My wood flooring always creaks at night also. I still live in this house, and the spirits don't seem to cause any harm. Submitted by Unknown
Comment by don't ask don't tell: I think I know exactly what you are talking about. I live in the same area. There is a paranormal realm we can't see. What you are dealing with is a low-class level demon. Aka a trouble maker. They just want to scare you. Ignore them and they leave you alone.
