When I was in my teens, a group of us teenagers would often go to a graveyard located on Cedar Canyon Road, just west of Hwy 327, close to the town of Garrett. On one occasion as we were frolicking and running around among the gravestones, we suddenly all heard a loud scream, followed by the appearance of a figure in a dark monk's robe. The hood was up, but where a face should have been was pitch black. It stood there for several seconds before

vanishing before our very eyes. Then we saw a glowing green light moving among the tombstones, but as we got closer to it, it started moving away from
|
us rather quickly. At that point, we all agreed that maybe we were not welcome, so we all got in our cars and left.
I often wondered why we all didn't immediately freak out and run as soon as we started experiencing these strange happenings. I think we were all so shocked and stunned that we kind of just froze in our tracks before gathering up the courage to follow the strange light.
