Years ago when I was in my 20s I lived in a dumpy apartment complex on 4th Avenue and Connecticut. It has since been torn down and was replaced by a parking lot for the Railcat Stadium. One day while two friends were visiting my husband and me, the four of us experienced activity that until this day I can't explain.

had an old 1970s style telephone table directly across the room, far out of reach for any of us. As we were engaged in conversation laughing, I saw the

telephone table lift up off of the ground and slam down hard. I saw no one there at all. The best way I can explain it is that it lifted up and slammed down in a way that someone who was angry would do, but visibly there was no one there or even remotely close to it.
I remember looking at my husband and our company and saying ''did you guys just see that?'' Everyone acknowledged seeing it too. We left the room and never discussed the situation again.
