I will keep the exact location of these events to myself because the area is so crime infested these days that I would not want to be blamed for some adventure seekers or ghost hunters to get themselves hurt while trying to investigate my claims. We lived in the Brunswick area back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. There was a house between 5th and 9th Avenues on Kentucky that belonged to a friend of my family. Often we would go there for birthday parties and so on, but it was always in the day time. There never was anything ever done inside of the big two story house. I remember vividly members of that family always escorting their guest to the bathroom when they had to go. The mom or dad would be screaming at one of their own kids if they ever left a guest in the house alone. Being a kid I always believed it was because the mom and dad did not trust other people in their house.
The truth was that the place was out of control with supernatural activity. I recall once that one of the older girls who lived in the house spending the night at our house. She told my sister that earlier that very day she opened one of her dresser drawers and found it was infested with maggots and worms. She screamed for her mother, but by the time the mother made it up the stairs the maggots and worms were long gone. Another time the woman of the house showed up at our house with five kids in tow scared nearly to death. She explained that the family was all upstairs in their respective rooms getting ready for bed when she went downstairs to make sure the front door was locked, and there in the living room was a horse. There was a horse lying on the living room floor. All of the kids saw it as well, they all came running downstairs and had to walk around it to get out of the house. My brother and father drove over to the house, but there was neither a horse nor signs of an animal ever being in the house. There is more but it is now late, and I am alone in this house, and I do not want to scare myself.

My first ever ghost sighting is actually one of my earliest memories. In fact it was a recurring sighting until we moved from that house when I was 10 years old. The house was on E. 43rd Avenue right across the street from my Elementary School James Whitcomb Riley Elementary. From my earliest memory an old man would walk up and down the short hallway of that tiny house. He would come out of my brother's bedroom to the right of my room, and he would walk past my room. A few seconds later he would return to my brother's room, turn around, and continue pacing through the night.
