My mom always left the bathroom light on which was down an even shorter hallway right across my room, so I could see this man very clearly, and he was most definitely very solid. He always stared straight ahead of himself. He also brought the scent of cigars on him which I would get a whiff of every so often. Sometimes I would smell his cigars before I would see him.
After seeing this man for years I finally asked my mother why that grandpa

man was always walking in the hallway at night. Was he there to keep us safe? Where and when does he sleep? My mother was totally dumbfounded at my questioning.

At the time she just dismissed it as me dreaming probably, so I wouldn't be scared. Later on I learned that she also had ghostly experiences in that house. Submitted by Tm

Another recurring incident in a home on E. 43rd Avenue was much more disturbing for me. Only my mother believed this, and I soon learned not to tell others. I was about seven years old when it began, so that would have been around 1976. I would be visited by what I called little people which I 'guestimate' to be less than a foot tall. They always woke me up by biting my toes. I was absolutely terrified of them because they talked nicely, but they were evil. When they would come they climbed up on my bed, and I would become totally paralyzed. I would try to scream, and they would laugh about it. I would pee my bed, and they thought this was hilarious. They would pull at my hair, and once they were hurting my cat who seemed as unable to move off the bed as I was. There are other stories from my 10 years there. That house is uninhabitable now, and like so many homes in that area it is being reclaimed by nature.
