You are right that there are ghost everywhere in Gary. I don't know if it's because of the number of murders that have occurred in that city since it was founded, if it's because the Indiana Lime Stone that so called paranormal investigators claim is a magnet for ghost or what, but it's not just ghost. It's evil. I am so sick and tired of hearing about ''Indian burial grounds,'' which has become as routine as every ''ghost investigator'' hearing the phrase ''get out. '' I am a real life investigator for the federal government and a professor of crime which includes crime scene investigations. I'm proud to say that I've solved some pretty tough cases, but never have I been able to explain some of the phantom stuff I've seen in and around Gary.
I once flew from Tampa to San Antonio just to meet with a group of ghost hunters who spend most of their time investigating going-on's at the Alamo and other local haunts, to see if I could interest them into traveling to Gary to investigate one particular haunting that I witnessed several times in Glen Park. Immediately they refused. It turns out that Gary, Hammond, Merrillville, Hobart and East Chicago were places they had already traveled to and had no intention of ever visiting again. In short, they felt something was very wrong in NW Indiana, but they couldn't say what it was. I was willing to pay for up to three of them to meet with a home owner who was willing to pay anyone to spend the night in a house he owned.

Ironically, the house which I believe burned down within the past five years was on Grant Street, diagonally across the street from the funeral home where just last year in 2015 they found the bodies of two embalmed children that ceiling of the building. It's also less than 50 yards away from the Oak Hill Cemetery and even closer to what used to be a public swimming pool that is now covered over and fenced in and owned by the cemetery, where back in the 80s, two of my neighbor's children drowned. The children lived on the 43rd block of Madison Street. If you're interested in learning more, comment to this, and I'll post my e-mail address.
