I used to live in Gary, and if you had friends who got killed out here you know you are bound to see ghosts. I lived by the Village Shopping Center and besides knowing that place was haunted you knew that whole area of Glen Park is.
I had a few friends get shot and killed and one died in a car accident in the late 90s. I guess it is true when they say when a person dies early then their soul walks the earth. Lot of them used to visit me when I am in a relaxed state or sleeping. At first I thought it was a bad dream until a lot of them spoke, and they had voices and sounds of my late friends or associates. My family member went to see a priest, and once I wore a special ring a lot of the ghost activity stopped in my house. I have seen about 4-6 ghosts of people I knew including a neighbor. A lot of times I would jump out of bed and run or turns on the lights. The oddest thing is that sometimes you can even see the image disappear slowly which was creepy. Noises and movements were always regular especially in the late hours, and seeing shadows of people moving across the walls were crazy.
There where times even when JCPenny had a mannequin as a display and that ghost image of that item would show up at the house. I was told that a ghost can show up in a different form, and they always prey on kids and innocent people to mess with. I was also told that a lot of the ghosts in Gary felt they are human and a lot of times would come out to play or see what was going on with a individual they know or wanted to know. You want to see some real ghost. Then go behind the Village at night at Garfield street, and you will see a lot of haunted houses. Ghosts are everywhere in Gary. They should have a ghost sighting event inside Lew Wallace before they tear that place down as well.

Comment by Rick: Coolie, anyone crazy enough to go behind the village at night or during the day for that matter will soon be ghost. Back in the late 70s I had three acquaintances, one a life long family friend murdered execution style right there on Grant between the village and the express way on the same side of the road. Today it's a huge truck stop, but back then it was a big department store there. And I hope they never tear down Lew Wallace.

My house is haunted. I live down the street from the famous house on Caroline Street in Gary, Indiana that is haunted. Something got thrown at me across my living room. In a picture you can see an orb that looks like a face in a tracer. I would upload the photo but don't know how since it is on my camera. Also every time you take pictures of my house there are orbs that look like faces in almost every picture.
