My husband grew up on 13 acres in Gosport a mile north of Stinesville Rt 254 (the house burnt down in 1984). He said they used to hear footfalls up and down the steps so much so that they would get in trouble because parents thought they were up playing around horses racing around in yard, and there was none. He and his siblings (there was 13 of them) used to see soldiers.

The house I lived in on 4th Street has always been haunted. Someone died on new year's eve in the house and since then ''something'' supernatural happens every new year's eve. I don't do it but things just go wacky on this date every year.

Also voices talk in the kitchen all the time and there is a bird ghost that flies throughout the house and seems to like the bathroom.
