Duplex building on Cherry Street is haunted. This was the R.B. model home when it was first built. I don't know what year that was.
Anyway, I would see the figure of a man come out of the bedroom closet and then turn and walk out the bedroom door and stroll down the hallway toward the living room. Many times I saw this. Then as the years went on, when I went to bed and was settling down to sleep, I would often feel pressure on the bed behind me. It was as if someone had sat down or placed their hand on the bed heavily. Totally creepy. Of course, I would look and nothing was there.

The landlady had once asked me if I had noticed any strange goings on there. She had lived in that unit at one time, so I am pretty sure that she probably saw and felt things there too.

I never felt that this was a malevolent presence. It was just kind of creepy.

Does anyone know about a haunted house or apt. on Ames Street in Hammond, 800 or 900 block of Ames . It was about a bunch of children's spirits playing and dancing ?.
