Comment by Airboats: Last comment submitted: Family killed at crossing by cemetery reference Crown Hill Cemetery New Chicago Indiana family named Traeger. He has a stone (WWI veteran) which was brought to my attention in 2019. Stone was laid flat on ground covered with moss. Officers from American legion post 54 in Hobart cleaned up stone and propped it up temporarily. The stone is located at the northwest side of the cemetery. Details can be found on Crown Hill Cemetery, Find a Grave. Veterans name is Edward S Traeger.

I lived in a house near Stracks grocery store. The man that lived in the house before me shot and killed himself. For seven years I heard voices and my name being screamed. I felt a presence with me. Sometimes the doors shut and closed and lights would be turned out, and even sometimes my stuff being moved around. I am so glad we moved out ! The house changed me for the worse.
