You can go to the courthouse to see what your property was in the past. Even if it was farm land. I believe you can see far past also.

About 2 years ago my sister came to visit from Texas. My parents gave her their room and went to the living room. Since it was a small house you could hear everything at night. One night my sister woke up in the middle of the night to hear footsteps.

There was a small hall from her room to mine and a bathroom in the middle. She heard steps from the basement stairs through the kitchen and dining room. They seemed to stop at her door. A few minutes later they progressed to my door and back.
It happened again the next day except that time was different. She heard the steps and when they stopped at her door then it opened and she saw a lady. She wasn't old and had short black hair. She left a few days later and my dad saw her too.
We ended up moving a few months later and have heard a lot of people move in and out.
