This is not so much of a sighting, but a ghostly experience my family had when we first bought our house. The house was the old beam farmhouse out near Bass Lake. Shortly after moving in I would hear footsteps on the second floor as if someone was walking around, but no one else was even home. This had gone on periodically for a few months, but I never said anything for fear of being disbelieved. One day my husband finally spoke of how he was hearing

footsteps upstairs.
I was then able to confess my experiences with the noises of the walking around too. It was very creepy. I remember the next

day being left in the house alone. I was talking out loud to the ''would-be ghost'' of what I thought to be the previous owner of the house (who had been killed 2 blocks away in a car accident a few years back. ) I was telling him that we loved his house and how we would take good care of it. I told him that I did not mind him staying, but that he should never scare me. I never heard footsteps again. True story!.
